GT Metrix is my go to tool when I first get contacted by a client.
With a wealth of tools available for free (but the full featured package is well worth the investment), you can monitor your website pages and fix any issue.
Of course, some issues will need a deeper knowledge to rectify but I use this report to demonstrate to my clients that my improvements are measured independently.
